A few years ago, I took a listing of a house on Queen Anne. The seller was referred to me by one of my past clients who gave him my name. It turns out the house had been on the market for over 90 days with two different suburban style rambler in a neighborhood of more classic 1920's built Queen Anne homes. The interior of the house had suffered from a below average remodel with odd choices of colors, fixtures, and the floorplan had not been improved.

When I called the seller it did not take long to determine he was very frustrated with his current listing agent and could not understand why his house had not sold; I also found out he wouldn't budge on his price. The house was vacant and it was evident the current listing agent had given up. At this point I told the seller I would list it but only if he agreed to hire someone to "stage" the home and suggested he call Katrina of Furnishments. He agreed to call her and within a few days the house was transformed. Katrina at the time was new to the business but confidently came in with fresh ideas and beautiful furniture and accessories to make the house feel warm and inviting. I held one Sunday open house and received a strong offer that the seller accepted within ten days of putting the house on the market. Together we were a winning team!
